En este artículo, dentro de la orientación que hoy considero predomina en la cosmovisión mundial sobre el rol que debe tener la pena, buscaré fundamentar la tesis de que el deporte, en la medida en que se lo utilice con fines pedagógicos y no sólo correctivos, es una herramienta invalorable de cualquier tratamiento penitenciario, y de probada eficacia para alcanzar aquel fin de prevención especial positiva de los penados que lo practican.
