En el mundo actual, la inteligencia artificial (IA) ha emergido como una herramienta poderosa que está transformando múltiples sectores, incluida la educación. Su potencial para innovar las prácticas pedagógicas y facilitar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje es significativo, especialmente en el contexto de la formación docente. En América Latina, donde las desigualdades educativas y las limitaciones de recursos son desafíos constantes, la IA ofrece oportunidades para enriquecer las experiencias educativas y personalizar el aprendizaje.
Históricamente, la adopción de tecnologías emergentes ha sido desigual en la región debido a factores como la infraestructura limitada y la variabilidad en el acceso a recursos tecnológicos. Sin embargo, en los últimos años, ha habido un interés creciente en la integración de la IA en el ámbito educativo a nivel mundial. Mientras que en contextos globales se han explorado ampliamente los beneficios de la IA, en América Latina es necesario considerar las particularidades culturales y socioeconómicas que influyen en su implementación. Its potential to innovate pedagogical practices and facilitate the teaching-learning process is significant, especially in the context of teacher training. In Latin America, where educational inequalities and resource constraints are constant challenges, AI offers opportunities to enrich educational experiences and personalize learning. Historically, the adoption of emerging technologies has been uneven in the region due to factors such as limited infrastructure and variability in access to technological resources. However, in recent years, there has been a growing interest in the integration of AI in the educational field globally. While the benefits of AI have been widely explored in global contexts, in Latin America it is necessary to consider the cultural and socioeconomic particularities that influence its implementation.
