La llamada ‘ética de la virtud’ constituye un destacable marco de reflexión y análisis en el campo de la filosofía moral contemporánea. Presentaremos aquí las especulaciones de tres filósofos contemporáneos acerca de las virtudes. Veremos cómo Peter T. Geach, Alasdair McIntyre y Jean-Luc Marion, respectivamente, se aproximan a las virtudes y analizan su naturaleza factual y antropológica así como su función teleológica, cosmológica y cultural dentro de los acuerdos intersubjetivos de caracteres lingüísticos, epistémicos y jurídico-legales, garantizados por los miembros de una comunidad dada.
Virtue ethics' constitutes a remarkable reflection and analysis in the field of contemporary moral philosophy. We will present here the speculations of three contemporary philosophers about the virtues. We will see how Peter T. Geach, Alasdair McIntyre and Jean-Luc Marion, respectively, are approaching the virtues and analyze factual and anthropological nature as well as its cultural, cosmological and teleological function within the intersubjective agreements of linguistic, epistemic and legal characters, guaranteed by the members of a given community.
