Abstract
Description
Sartori says that the existence of the new millennium humanity is threatened by "overpopulation of the Earth", i.e. by the increasingly "imminent" danger of a collision between rising 'poor countries' demographic rates and the progressive depletion of the natural resources. According to Sartori all kinds of economic and environmental problem comes from "excess population", of "excessive fertility", which swallows resources and produces 'poverty'. This process of human self-destruction can be attributed to the responsibility, among others, of the Catholic Church. Critical theories concerning Sartori are inspired by the "law of diminishing returns" Malthusian.
