La intención del trabajo surge del leer en distintos pasajes donde Santo Tomás expresa que Dios obra “suavemente”. Nos pareció muy luminoso el modo de describir el obrar de Dios, pero ¿qué implicancias teológicas tiene esto? ¿A qué se refiere Santo Tomás? Al darnos cuenta de que surge de un pasaje de la Biblia, como de hecho muchas veces expresamente lo cita el Aquinate, se suma el interés de saber si Santo Tomás utiliza de un modo ilustrativo o pintoresco a la Palabra de Dios o si por el contrario toma en todo su peso cada Palabra de la Sagrada Escritura.
The intention of the work arises from reading in different passages where Saint Thomas expresses that God works "gently". The way of describing God's work seemed very luminous to us, but what theological implications does this have? What does Saint Thomas refer to? When we realize that it arises from a passage in the Bible, as in fact Aquinas expressly cites it many times, the interest of knowing if Saint Thomas uses the Word of God in an illustrative or picturesque way or if on the contrary it takes every Word of Sacred Scripture to its full weight.
