La investigación formativa abarca el conjunto de prácticas vinculadas a la implementación de los procesos y características de la investigación científica en la enseñanza de distintas disciplinas en los niveles educativos que van desde el inicial hasta el bachillerato. Este enfoque suele ser fructífero dado que está estrechamente relacionado con el aprendizaje significativo y el aprendizaje basado en problemas. En este marco, se propone esta investigación que tiene como objetivo principal analizar los factores que favorecen la investigación formativa en escuelas rurales del municipio de Cimitarra, Santander, Colombia. Para ello, se implementó un instrumento que mide las prácticas de investigación formativa entre dimensiones, en una muestra de 154 docentes rurales de cinco escuelas distintas del municipio de Cimitarra, Santander. Se analizaron mediante estadística descriptiva y correlacional para cada una de las dimensiones, así como la relación con los factores caracterizadores de la muestra. Los resultados indican que, en general, las prácticas de investigación formativa son pocas y están vinculadas a características individuales, lo que implica que es necesario generar lineamientos institucionales
Formative research encompasses a set of practices related to the implementation of scientific research processes and characteristics in teaching various disciplines, from early childhood education to high school. This approach is often fruitful as it is closely tied to meaningful learning and problem-based learning. However, in the context of rural education in Colombia, the use of these strategies is often limited by various factors. Within this framework, the present study aims to analyze the factors that foster formative research in rural schools in the municipality of Cimitarra, Santander, Colombia. To achieve this, an instrument was implemented to measure formative research practices across three dimensions in a sample of 154 rural teachers from five different schools in the municipality of Cimitarra, Santander. These practices were analyzed using descriptive and correlational statistics for each dimension, as well as their relationship with the sample’s characterizing factors. The results indicate that, overall, formative research practices are limited and linked to individual characteristics, highlighting the need to establish institutional guidelines.
