El propósito de este artículo es contribuir con los estudios sobre posmodernidad, entendiendo la complejidad del concepto y las diferentes discusiones sociológicas que conlleva. La posmodernidad representa un desafío para el hombre, obligándolo a pensar críticamente en la sociedad en la que está inmerso. La lectura de este breve artículo sobre los principales investigadores de la posmodernidad nos permitirá re-plantearnos nuestra actual aldea global, y pensar si estamos atravesando una nueva realidad histórico-social o es la continuidad de un modelo capitalista, que se encuentra en crisis frente a la falta de respuestas por parte del Estado e instituciones referentes.
The purpose of this article is to contribute to postmodernity studies, understanding the complexity of the term and the different sociological difficulties involved. Postmodernity represents a challenge for the man forced to think critically about the society in which he is immersed. The reading of this brief state of the question about the main researchers of postmodernism asks us to re-consider our current global village and think if we are going through a new historical-social reality or is the continuity of a capitalist model that is in crisis against to the lack of answers from the State and institutions references.
