Se argumenta que, aunque esta tecnología ha generado mejoras indiscutibles en campos como la salud, la educación y el comercio, también plantea serios desafíos en relación con la privacidad, la autonomía y el consumismo. Se explora cómo los algoritmos y las plataformas tecnológicas están creando lo que se ha denominado una "jaula invisible", donde se monitorea y guía a los usuarios sin que estos perciban la pérdida gradual de su libertad. Se destaca que, si bien la IA facilita muchas tareas cotidianas, también puede fomentar una vida excesivamente dependiente de los algoritmos, los cuales responden a intereses de grandes corporaciones. Se propone una reflexión crítica sobre el equilibrio necesario entre los beneficios de la tecnología y la preservación de la libertad individual, resaltando la importancia de mantener la capacidad de autodeterminación y no ceder ante una vida completamente guiada por estas herramientas tecnológicas.This article analyzes the impact of advances in artificial intelligence (AI) on human freedom, particularly with the advent of generative AI. It is argued that, although this technology has generated indisputable improvements in fields such as health, education and commerce, it also poses serious challenges in relation to privacy, autonomy and consumerism. It explores how algorithms and technological platforms are creating what has been called an "invisible cage", where users are monitored and guided without them perceiving the gradual loss of their freedom. It is highlighted that, although AI facilitates many daily tasks, it can also promote a life excessively dependent on algorithms, which respond to the interests of large corporations. A critical reflection is proposed on the necessary balance between the benefits of technology and the preservation of individual freedom, highlighting the importance of maintaining the capacity for self-determination and not giving in to a life completely guided by these technological tools.Fil: Ramos, Alejandro.
